Boofer and family...

A couple of weekends ago Van, Kristin, and Boofer came over to play! Supposedly it was to watch the AR/FL game, but due to the results we won't talk about that. It was so nice outside! Even Boofer enjoyed the playground! Ace is too big of a chicken to go up the gangplank, much less down the slide, but Boofer LOVED it!! Granted he was enticed to go down the slide by a treat, but he walked the plank like it was no big deal! Ace and Boofer got along better by the end of the night, but my little dog apparently thinks he rules this house and kept messing with Boofer. No altercations, just alot of huffing around.
Once it was time to go, Kenzie wanted to give everyone a hug, even Boofer! When she hugged Kristin, she said "I love you". I couldn't help but tear up!!

Pampered Princess...

Over Fall Break, mom and I took Kenzie to Sweet & Sassy and gave her the Pampered Princess package. She'd been telling me for weeks that she needed to go see Miss Beth at Sweet & Sassy, so I figured I better make it happen. She had her hair washed in the shampoo and conditioner of her choice (orange), then Beth trimmed and styled her hair. Then she picked "cupcake" for her hair smell of choice and got a spritz of glitter in her hair.
Later it was off to get her mani/pedi! I thought...being a children's salon...that they would just swipe on a coat of paint on her fingers and toes and that would be it...ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? NOOOOOO!!!! She got pampered as much or more than adults do in a luxury salon!!
And she just ate it all up. She was a princess with a capital P and the girls in the shop got the biggest kick out of her! She wasn't a prissy, spoiled princess...I'd say a Snow White-type princess...she just took it in stride and let Beth do her thing. Nana and I think we may have created a standard though....that could be trouble later...

Penelope Reese

Our friends Brandi and Jon Ross had their first child on October 10th in Jackson, TN so we drove over to meet baby Penelope!! You KNOW how much Kenzie loves babies!! She's so pretty! The longest fingers and a head full of hair! SO sweet. So for the past few weeks, all of Kenzie's baby dolls have been "Penewopee" and I'm told constantly that she's getting a new baby sister/brother (whichever she decides at the time). I'd sure like to know where she's getting this information....shouldn't I be the first to know??

Nothing like the County Fair...

It's not the Delta Fair, but honestly I think I enjoyed it more! Much smaller crowd, not as noisy, and easier to get in and out of! The Lauderdale County Fair was in Halls the weekend Kenzie and I went to visit. Brian had a tournament in Alabama so we spent the weekend with them. Pop took lots of pictures too, but I uploaded them to Snapfish instead of my computer and I'm not sure how to get them to the blog now....sorry! They'll make it into my scrapbook for sure though!
We wore her out!!

Pigtails and Purple Tutus....

Courtney, hope you don't mind me snagging your blog title, it fit perfectly!! I could easily go through the pics and say, "This one's my favorite, no this one, well this one too..." but as you can see, they're ALL good!! Courtney and Jason did an AMAZING job capturing our personalities in pictures. Thanks again ya'll!!! (Check out her blog on my list of favorites on the left!!)
And stay tuned for pictures from the Trash the Dress session they did for me!!! Unbelieveable!!!
