Sitting up!

Drum roll please...........................TA DA!!! She's sitting up by herself! Granted she still wobbles a little, but she's so proud of herself (and so are we!) The sunflower stalk is growing right outside the window by her pack and play and she's enthralled by it! And she is such a big girl in her walker, she scoots around the house on our hardwood floors, a tiny taste of what's to come when she starts crawling and walking!!

Mom got her the cute monkey outfit and hat at a nice little boutique in Hardy, AR. She's not sure about the bow in her face so we'll have to work on that.

We took the pictures of her in her duck robe a couple of weeks ago when Brian's parents were here. She still LOVES her baths!

Piggin' Out!

Our little munchkin is starting to get use to her cereal. She takes it pretty well I think! The high chair is a little huge for her with the tray so we're going to wait a while before we use that. We actually had a cool day this past weekend so Kenzie was able to wear her Old Navy jacket! Isn't she stylin'?!

I can't believe I forgot to add my favorite picture of Kenzie! Well....for now anyway.

I also failed to mention that Brian and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary on July 6th! Brian brought me flowers and candy to work, then called ahead to Outback so that when we got there we just walked by all these people and were seated immediately! I felt like a celebrity! Dinner and flowers were courtesy of Brian's parents and my parents bought us a new patio set! So now we have seating outside when we have our friends over! It was a great anniversary.

And while I'm confessing forgotten moments, Ace had his 1 year birthday on June 24th! He's such a good puppy. Kenzie just grins everytime he walks into her line of sight.

Kenzie's Baby Dedication

We had Kenzie's dedication at Bellevue this past sunday night (July 15th 2007) and she was SOOOO good! Her Nana says she was the prettiest baby up there! There were 19 babies and their parents all lined up across the front of the sanctuary and Bro. Steve went down the line and introduced each baby (and his/her parents) to the congregation. Then we pledged to dedicate our lives to raising her up in the Christian faith and to pray that she would one day have a personal relationship with Christ. During the photo shoot, Bro. Steve practically had her laughing and we had the hardest time taking the picture because Kenzie kept staring at Mrs. Donna! It was so funny!

Happy 4th of July!!

We had a very busy 4th of July! We stayed in Memphis for Kenzie's first 4th and so lots of family came to us! Katie and Aunt Karen, Aunt Kathie, Van and Kris, my mom and dad, and even Kristin's sister Katie were all there! Van took us around to some of the houses they're working on in the Bing with S.O.S. Very cool what they're doing over there. Katie (my cousin) took all of these pictures. What would I do without her?!

The group picture there is of mom, two of her sisters Karen and Kathie, and their mom Kathryn (Kenzie's great grandmother).

Pop was makeing Kenzie "talk" with his thumb on her bottom lip. Everyone thought it was just hilarious.

This is my first taste of cereal! Not a fan. We tried again a few times over the next week and decided to wait a little longer.

I just noticed out of all these pictures that Kenz is only smiling in one! She smiles alot, I promise, but you just have to earn it! haha

Speaking of shots.......

Kenzie had her 4 month check up this week. She's gained a whopping 2 lbs. since her last appointment making her 15 lbs. 3 oz. She's also grown 2 inches and is now 25". We had a nice, but SLOW nurse so the shots were a bit more traumatic this time. Kenzie was screaming midway through the 1st shot (last time we were through the 3rd one before she wailed) so I started crying because I couldn't scoop her up and console her. But the doctor said she's healthy and seems to be a happy baby. He said we can start feeding her cereal (looks like potato flakes). So stay tuned for pictures of THAT! haha

Party girl!!

Kenzie's our little social butterfly! She went to Cannon's 1 yr. birthday back in May (waiting on a few pictures then I'll post those...though she slept through the whole thing) and enjoyed Paige Lowry's 1st birthday a week ago! Her friend Adelin Hester (the adorable blonde pictured) turned 2 last saturday!! We were in Paris, TN so couldn't make it to that party. :( Kenzie and Presley Williams have a while to plan their big 1 year bashes so stay tuned!

Random June shots

Not a whole lot going on in June. Kenzie's as cute as ever and starting to really interact with the things around her. If she can get it in her hand it's going in her mouth! I'm convinced I'm going to look in her packnplay one day and she's going to have her whole fist in her mouth! We're practicing rolling over but she doesn't quite have it down yet. The pictures at the bottom are of Kenzie and her daddy at Kindermusik. I also got away for a day to Martin, TN with Tiffany Flippin for Todd Higgs wedding! It was beautiful!!
