Van and Kristin's wedding!!

FINALLY!! It took me awhile to narrow down the wedding pics to just a few faves, but they're here!! The wedding was gorgeous and it was the prettiest reception I've ever seen. Katie and the wedding photographer took a billion pictures, all of which were amazing!! So this is my brother and his beautiful bride Kristin!! Kenzie's giving her some advice in that one picture... She was SO good!! She behaved for the pictures and then politely slept through the entire ceremony on Aunt Kathie's shoulder. Wasn't that sweet of her? Of course I teared up through most of the ceremony. Hey! He's my baby brother, give me a break!! They're settled into their new house and jobs now here in Memphis. It's great having them only about 10 min. away!

T-R-O-U-B-L-E

This girl is into EVERYTHING lately!! All about exploring her surroundings I guess and seeing how things work. Just means we're having to work overtime baby-proofing!! Her birthday is almost here!!!!!!

the many faces of Kenzie....

As you can see Kenzie DOES have some hair now! She still loves her baths and thinks it's funny to splash mommy and daddy! She's got a serious side too though, that's her "you're not LISTENING to me!!" face...or more likely her "why can't I play with that??" face.

Kenzie surprised us two days ago by taking a step without holding on to anything!! Next thing you know she'll be running all over the house!!!

I understand the wedding pics are in so I'll be posting those soon PLUS her birthday is coming up on March 2nd so watch for those pics too!!

Christmas at our house!

We spent Christmas Eve at my mom's, but went back to Memphis that night so that we could wake up at our house for Christmas morning. We had SO much fun opening presents! I think we'll make it a tradition opening presents at our house on Christmas morning. It was nice and quiet and not stressful at all!
Kenzie has a fetish for the baby in the mirror. Lots of kisses!
Her Uncle Van and VERY soon-to-be Aunt Kristin gave her this adorable elephant. She loves on it all the time!
I bet she wishes we'd quit sticking bows on her head! But until it gets long enough for real bows, she's "stuck" with it! Oh yea!! And we got a special present Christmas Eve morning, Kenzie got her first tooth!!! (We'll post pictures when it's more visible)

Christmas in Linden

Merry Christmas!!! I had some vacation time so we got to spread out our visiting and rest a little bit in between stops! First stop....Linden! I found this camo outfit in her closet and realized it was shorts!! Luckily, it's was in the 60's in DECEMBER so she was able to wear it.
The ball in that picture was Brian's when he was a baby! This is one of the cousins in the Qualls family. He's been a ventriloquist since he was 14 I think! Kenzie gave that dummy a talking to...the doll...not the man.

First word!!

So I can't believe I haven't included this in a previous blog. On Kenzie's 9 month birthday she started saying "ma-ma"!! Granted, most of the time it's when she's mad and wants me to be right there with her, but still!! So now her daddy is working double time trying to get her to say dada. She also says "baba" but we're not sure if that means bye-bye or bottle or both. Here's a bonus pic of her helping me with the tree.

PULLING UP!!

We've hit another milestone!! This weekend she started pulling up on anything and everything. She's pulled up once or twice on rare occasions in the past but is apparently totally comfortable with it now. We've caught her crawling with her knees semi-locked and bottom in the air a few times. Guess she doesn't want to get her knees dirty. Here's a pic of her playing on the bottom shelf....heaven forbid her knees touch!
