Katie came back to TN with us to spend a few days until she had to head back to Omaha. We made the most of the time we had! We spent the night in Grand Rivers, KY on the way back and had dinner at Patti's 1880's Settlement. They've really added on to that place since Brian and I were there several years ago! It was beautiful then, but it's even more impressive now! And the food is just as good or better! We stopped and walked around the piers at Land Between the Lakes before heading south to Ripley.
We stayed in Ripley one night and leisurely got back on the road to Memphis.
Pop helped us put our suitcases away. WAIT!! I think there's something still in there!
We couldn't let Katie leave Memphis without experienceing a Jerry's Sno Cone!!! Van and Kristin had just returned from Philadelphia. He had work to do there and the company allowed Kris to go with him! That's where they were while we were in Ohio.
Boofer's getting big!
Katie had the GREAT idea to make a tent in the living room on a particularly rainy day. It was SO much fun!! We had marshmallows and everything!
We took her downtown for a more scenic Memphis night. The Hesters joined us and the girls had fun playing by the trolley tracks while we hung out by the river! We even ran into a fellow Riplian and his wife walking their dogs. Small world!
We were sad as always to see Katie go, but hopefully we'll see each other again around Christmas or New Years! Love you, Katie!!
