Ohio bound...

Mom, Kenzie, and I went to Columbus, OH for a memorial service/family reunion. Grandma O'Hern would have laughed the entire week! There were a few moments where I thought I would have teared up...and didn't, and several where something was just so funny, it made me think of her...and I did.

The first two nights all the cousins (minus me the first night...too exhausted from traveling!) went out and had some fun! We only had a couple of days with Paul, Jenny, Jake, Larissa, and Nathaniel so we made the most of them!
Apparently that first night, Jenny and Dennis had a touch of "dance fever"! Stephanie gets even prettier every time I see her! Are we a good looking bunch or what? It's GOT to be the genes. I LOVE this picture of Chang and I!
It always cracks me up when we all go out together. When the waiters check our ID's they always do a double take and inevitably say something like "Are these for real? Who are yall?" because of all the different states represented.
Kenzie and Nathaniel were SO completely adorable together. Nathaniel is only a few months younger than Kenzie so it was neat to watch them playing together! We'll definitely have to get these two together more often!!!
My tough girl. I think she had a butterfly tattoo to match every outfit. Nana painted her nails frequently too! That's Kenzie, a little bit of sugar/a little bit of spice!
I really was surprised how easily she took to everyone. It was like she could sense the love and affection we all had for each other and she just went with it!
Wednesday, the first group of people left, so it was a big picture morning trying to get some last minute shots of all the cousins together. We just don't get together nearly enough! We plan on fixing that though...plans are in the making...
Then Dennis, Stephanie, Katie, Mom, Kenzie, and I all headed off to the Columbus Zoo. They have several animals that the Memphis Zoo doesn't have! The kangaroos and koalas were really fun to see! I think several of us were really surprised at how great Dennis was with Kenzie! I mean she just took to him like she'd been around him forever! And he was so patient and loving and playful with her..it was just so natural! Sorry Dennis, hope I'm not ruining your rep! He's just this crazy fun guy so it's cool to see the softer side. haha (do you hate me yet, Chang?)
She was ALMOST asleep when we took this picture. She wears her sunglasses upside down on a regular basis... just for kicks.
Oh, funny story. While we were at the zoo we walked over to the room with the komodo dragon. He was laying along the front glass and before we told her what it was she yells, "Look Momma, a dinasaur!!"
We headed back to Tennessee on friday morning...or was it thursday...I can't remember now. And Katie came with us!!! So stay tuned for the second group of July pictures!!

(Doesn't she look good in Katie's shoes?)
