Back to Cedar Hill Farm!

It's that time of year! Back to the Cedar Hill Farm pumpkin patch to see how much Kenzie's grown! This first picture is from last year, looks like she's grown a good bit! We had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa last year and it was Nana's turn this year! The weather was beautiful! Probably about the low 60's and sunny. Nana's favorite part is the singing chicken show, but it gives Kenzie the creeps I think. She's never been a fan. She starts fussing and wants to leave when the chickens have barely gotten started!
She still loves all the animals though! I don't remember the peacocks being here last year. He was so pretty though!
In the far right pictures Kenzie's watching the live band while we waited for our turn to ride the train.
Kenzie rode a pony this year! And rode it by herself for the most part! She did great! She talked about "Acey" the rest of the afternoon!
She was also big enough to play on the hay fort too! She's the perfect size to run around in the tunnels without having to duck much. The big kids weren't nearly as fast as Kenzie!
We picked out our pumpkins, corn stalk, and hay bale...and Kenzie grabbed a gourd...then realized we hadn't gone on a hay ride yet!!!
The pumpkin patch was too swampy from all the rain so we walked down the hay bale trail and played on the pirate ship! Pretty sure that wasn't there last year either...
A pirate ship in a pumpkin patch...random.
Waiting on daddy to bring the truck around so we can load up the hay bale and corn stalk, then it was over to the Hernando town square to have lunch at the Windy City Grille! It was delicious!
We picked Ace up on the way home. He'd been at Pet Styles getting a bath and haircut! Kenzie asked me to take a picture of her and Ace with his new haircut. Then she wanted me to take a picture of her helping Gigi walk! Gigi's a big girl now. Kenzie decided Gigi didn't need a paci anymore so she threw it in the garbage. Wow!

Trash the Dress!

NO, I didn't really trash my dress. That's apparently what these sessions are called once you're already married. And supposedly some people really do trash their wedding dress! I heard about one girl going "muddin" on her four wheeler, another eating ribs, one jumping in the river, among others, but I just couldn't do that to the dress that made me feel like a princess on my wedding day...
and then again on a cloudy day in October 7.5 years later!
However, the weather was COMPLETELY different this time! On July 6, 2002 it was almost 100 degrees and the sun was shining without a cloud in the sky.
This session took place mid-October on probably the first cold day of fall (probably 50 degrees? seriously.) and it was completely overcast. But that made for better lighting and at least I wasn't miserable and sweating! It was SOOOOO much fun. I wore my jacket between sets and Courtney and Jason had hand warmers for me!
Brian's boots were warm too!!
It really was so much fun and Courtney and Jason are really great to work with.
She has a few "behind the scenes" pics on her blog (link on the left).
Enjoy the pics!
These are for Brian (he liked it when I got silly). Did I mention this was SO much fun?!!
