Christmas Day!

I'm finally getting my Christmas Day pictures up! Thanks to today's snow day I find myself with a little extra time! This makes 4 snow days since Jan. 1st I think! Some of the pictures are a little out of order, but considering it's all the same day, I'm sure you'll forgive me. Don't judge based on her changes of clothes, she was CONSTANTLY changing her clothes and Madeline's. We had such a great day! Nana and Pop came over on Christmas Eve and we all took Kenzie to see Alvin & The Chipmunks: The Squeakuel!! She LOVED it! She was so good through the whole movie! Then on Christmas Day, Van and Kristin came over about 8am (thanks for being early birds, yall!) and we started opening presents! Kenzie just stood and stared for a minute, until she realized we could open them!! First things first....stockings! (She asked me to take a picture of her new Tinkerbell movie.) That excited face is for her Pooh-bear toothbrush. That's Kenzie, a personal hygene fanatic. Aunt Kristin got a Marley book (or Boofer book as we like to refer to them!) so at one point I looked down and realized Kenzie was "reading" it.
Then Van and Kristin had Kenzie open her present from them! Drum roll please................
Ta-da!! A treehouse tent for her room! I'm not sure who had more fun...Van putting it together, or Kenzie and Kristin "helping" him!
"Anyone else want to come in?"
She absolutely loves it! Anytime someone comes over, she takes them straight to her tree house and we don't see them again for hours (or until they get hungry...then they disappear again). We're planning on doing a Tinkerbell party for her 3rd birthday...wonder if I can get it out into the living room?
Ace made sure he didn't go unnoticed! He had a fun time sniffing at all the presents and getting in Kenzie's way. They really act like siblings sometimes the way they push on each other. Too cute. And Ace got presents too! We gave him a rawhide bone in the shape of a candy cane (which he demolished in a matter of maybe two or three weeks?) and a basketball pull toy. He and Kenzie play with that alot!
Per Kenzie's wishes, Kristin was in charge of Gigi. And that pretty girl in the box is Madeline!
Madeline got SEVERAL outfits (with matching shoes of course!) from Nana.
The things we do to make our children smile....
Since Kenzie likes taking pictures with our camera, we decided to get her her very own Disney digital camera! I'll post a few of her shots later, but Kenzie took those to pictures of Pop, she's not too bad!
Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve fun...

This dress was SO cute on her, I had to post the pics I took from Christmas Eve. We went to the Christmas Eve service at Highpoint Church and she was SO good!!
Doesn't she look so much older than 3 (almost) in that first picture??? Here's another snap-session with photographer Kenzie....

A Linden Christmas!

Once we finished up in Cookville, we headed back to have Christmas in Linden! Kenzie was excited to show Grandma and Grandpa one of her Christmas dresses! She and Grandpa and Grandma cut this tree down near their house and Kenzie actually dragged it back to the house all by herself. I promise! REALLY wish I'd taken a picture of that!
Kenzie helped everyone open their presents and
REALLY wanted to bust open her playdoh!
I'm not sure I've mentioned it in previous posts, but this Christmas Kenzie REALLY got into taking pictures "herself". (She wants to hold the camera "herself" and do it "herself", if I've heard the word "myself" once I've heard it a million times.) She actually does really well! She took that picture of Brian and I in the center without any help! We got to visit with Phillip and Kaylynn for just a little bit this trip! Kenzie was SO excited! They primped all night with the cosmetic kits that Hannah gave them for Christmas!
Yes, I know she needs a haircut desperately, she got one the week after this was taken at Sweet n Sassy! She's showing off the double cheeseburger that Daddy made with her playdoh kitchen. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa! I kid you not, she plays with her playdoh EVERY day, multiple times a day and is very good about not making a mess with it!

It's beginning to look alot like Christmas....

It was actually fairly warm entering into December! My parents came up one saturday afternoon and Pop decided we needed a fire pit!
So we fired it up and roasted hot dogs and marshmellows!
Kenzie wasn't really sure about it...she's not use to black hot dogs...
we'll try a different wood next time.
The weekend I got out for Christmas break, we dropped Kenzie off in Linden with Grandma and Grandpa! Brian and I spent most of the weekend in Nashville at his USDA annual "meeting" (Christmas party). It was so nice to have a night to ourselves!
Then we made a quick trip over to Cookville to see Quinn graduate!
Up next...pictures from our Christmas in Linden! But it will be a few days, pizza's ready and we have our small group tonight! Kenzie's looking forward to Allison watching her, Adelin, and Rylen!!

Finishing up November!

Ok, so I'm finally getting a chance to sit down and put some new posts up. Christmas was overwhelmingly fun, then Katie came to visit for a week, then I started back to work and today is the first free day I've had! In fact, today is Jan. 18th and we JUST took our Christmas lights off the house today! So this post should at least get us up to December! The saturday after Thanksgiving we took Kenzie to see Curious George Live! We had AWESOME seats! We were on the floor and three seats from the end of our row...which was RIGHT beside the stage! So on the occasions that the cast came down off the stage, George was really close! Kenzie loved it because he wasn't so close that he could "get" her, but close enough that she could really get excited about it.
That's our monkey faces. She wore her monkey shirt, but we also bought her a George shirt.
That night we met my parents at Carrabbas Italian restaurant and then went over to Zoo Lights!
She didn't mind sitting with Santa as long as I was there. She really liked Mrs. Claus though because she gave Kenzie M&Ms!
