First Crush!

Well, its happened....I think Kenzie and Drew May have a thing for each other. She's dating an older boy (about 5 weeks I think). He feeds her Trix cereal, they hold hands occasionally, smooch and hug, and even fight! They're so cute together!!

Pool Time!!!

We cleaned out Kenzie's pool today! It's the first of many lazy days of summer fun! We weren't sure how she'd like the cold water but it didn't faze her a bit! She acted like she was just taking a bath outside! Is that the sweetest face or what?!

Cooper's wedding

We were in Murfreesboro/Nashville, TN this past weekend for our friend Josh Cooper's wedding. He and Brian were roommates in college for 3 years. It was REALLY great seeing all the guys (and girls!) again!! Andy Wright and Matt Brian were two of Brian's suitemates. All the guys were in the UTM Wildlife Society together. I thought Van would appreciate Josh's grooms cake! Beth Hetzel was in the Wildlife Society too. This is Casy Brian, Josh's sister and Matt's wife. One of the sweetest people I know! Kenzie loved playing in the birdseed! She fell asleep in the car before we were even out of the parking lot!! And of course, the bride and groom, Jessica and Joshua Cooper!! Married May 31st, 2008

We took a short drive to Nashville to take Kenzie to the Aquarium Restaurant in the Opry Mills Mall. She LOVED all the fish! Here's a video of her greeting the fish from her high chair. She wanted to get back down and see them up close but our food arrived.

Memorial Weekend and Pop's Birthday!!

This was a VERY busy weekend!! Dad's birthday wish was to have us in Ripley for the holiday so we spent some time there Sunday afternoon and part of Monday.

That's the hula skirt they brought back for Kenzie from Hawaii! She wore the flowery headband for about 5 minutes.

Somehow we ended up back in Memphis for his birthday dinner and cake! Actually we sweet-talked them into coming back with us to help us finish our landscaping project, pictures of that will come soon! Kenzie looks like she's saying "For the LAST time, I'm ONE, now stop asking!!". And yes, she has two hands full of birthday cake (no icing) in that picture. She's our little chipmunk!

Not only is her car cool, she loves the box it came in!!

I LOVE this dress!! She wore this to church sunday morning. Of course, she wouldn't wear her fancy shoes, had to wear the sandals that light up!

Mother's Day

Ummm...so there's not a picture of ME on Mother's Day, but there are some of the child that makes me a mother...does that count?

Her first surgery

Kenzie had her adnoids taken out and tubes put in her ears friday! We've been battling an ear infection for over 2 months and her ENT finally set the date for the surgery. Hopefully that will get rid of the infection and she'll be back to her old self in no time! My mom and dad were with us at the hospital. She and her Pop read books and walked around the waiting room while the rest of us tried to wake up (4:30 comes early!!). She was in a great mood and didn't even cry when they took her back to surgery!

She was pretty disoriented after the surgery and only woke up long enough to let the doctors and nurses know she was ok. Then slept the rest of the day. Do we spoil her or what? We bought her a car for doing so well!! Customized with Mommy's foam stickers of course. Her Uncle Van and Aunt Kristin brought her a fun balloon!
