Birds & Bees at the Memphis Zoo

We spent a little bit of time one HOT afternoon at the Birds & Bees exhibit at the zoo. Kenzie loved feeding the birds!!

Happy Father's Day!

Kenzie helped me pick out Daddy's Father's Day present! We got him a few goodies from Old Navy. He'd already bought his big present...a new rod and reel!

Grandma went with us to Sweet and Sassy to watch Kenzie get a much needed haircut!

Norfork Lake

Van and Kristin invited us to her family's lake house on Norfork Lake in Arkansas and we had the BEST time!!! It was SO relaxing! Wish Brian could have gone with us but he was...what else?...fishing!

Kenzie LOVED the boatrides and playing in the water!

Kenzie's Big Girl Room!!!

With a baby brother coming in a few months, we decided this big sister needed a big girl room!!! I had lots of ideas, but wasn't sure how they would all play out. Thanks to Brian, his parents, my parents, and even a little help from Kenzie herself, it turned out even better than I envisioned!!!

These are the same letters from her baby room that were once animal prints! Tooks lots of white paint to cover those spots and stripes! I even painted her light switch cover to match...and the night light is next!

I didn't get to help with the painting and hardware installation, but I had fun with the rest of the makeover!!

The big reveal!!! She LOVED IT!!!

The quilt was hand-sewn by a woman in Ripley, so all the colors in the room centered around this.

May Days...

Kristin made this adorable chef's hat and apron for Kenzie's birthday! So she's frequently mixing up batches of anything you want!

Just like when I was pregnant with Kenzie, I LOVE pickles...but not pickles and ice cream as the common pregnancy craving goes. YUCK, that just doesn't sound good at all.

I'm about 13 weeks in this picture I think.

Storytime!!

Kenzie's big birthday present was tickets to see Storytime Live! Featuring Dora the Explorer, Ni-hao Kai-Lan, the Backyardigans, and the Wonder Pets. She LOVES those shows and I have to admit, I like them too! But the best part of going was that we took friends with us! Beth and her youngest son Drew went with us, and so did Kim and and her youngest son Ethan! Kenzie sees Ethan every day at Cindy's so they naturally stayed close to each other the whole time. I have more pictures, but not on the computer I'm on right now, so I may try to post more later. The kids AND the moms had a GREAT time!!

Here's just a glimpse of the different shows and at the end they came out and did a big dance number together. It was hard to take pictures during the show because I had to keep my flash off, but you get the idea anyway...
